As the world moves online and new niches and trends are able to be spotted electronically, the question arises, "What if I wanted to start an offline business today, what would I open to give me the greatest shot at success?"  The answer may surprise you.  By using the trends at The Internet Time Machine we were able to identify the 4 most "in demand" storefront or franchise ideas for 2011 and 2012.

By applying the theory of supply and demand to offline markets, we are able to spot trends among people that are looking for a strong physical product, as opposed to a digital or video.

In this video we look at the top 4 ideas for a brick and mortar business, while on the membership side we show you how to run checks on your local area search to find out if any of the ideas would make sense for you area.  The success of each idea would depend on the competition, demographic, and income levels of the area you are thinking of starting a business.

So, what are the best offline niche ideas for starting a new business in 2011?

1. MMA gyms - This type of gym focuses on mixed martial arts training as its core exercise and it is growing so fast that franchise opportunities already exist.  If we had to open one franchise and one franchise only in 2011, this would be it.  The Internet Time Machine picks up well over 50 MMA trends per update and even has "local MMA gyms" in the top 20 overall right now.

2. Autistic Children's Center- Unfortunately, this trends is not going away anytime soon.  The demand for autistic based therapy, centers, and help is off the charts.  Mixing a traditional children's center or day-care with one that caters to autistic kids and their families is growing at a huge demand rate.

3. Teen Alcohol Treatment Centers -  This niche within alcohol treatment is growing faster than any other related area with alcohol.  Parents are burning up search engines looking for teen alcohol based information.  This is a very good area if you watch the members area to see what type of treatment centers are around you before you start.

4. 2nd Hand Baby and Kids Store - The demand for a used stroller or car seat always places #1 on our "baby" filter, and with so many people afraid to buy something like that "used" on the Internet, a local option if done well, could make a killing. The best part is, most of the stuff that comes into the store is hardly used as kids outgrow stuff so fast, and the families are just looking to get rid of the stuff to make room.  Most second hand stuff sales at yard sale prices and can be marked back up to 50% off of retail once it is inside of a store.  With the economy suffering and ideas like Groupon catching on, look for more and more families to look for "deals" on expansive baby items like car seats, strollers, and play pens.
