The niche of mom marketing actually has two sides to it. The first side is moms working in the marketing field from home; typically on the Internet or in a home office setting. The second area of this niche is where moms are hired and used to market to other moms. Both of these areas are quite interested, so we thought we should explore them a little bit further.
Many moms look for a way that will allow them to still earn an income and be able to spend time at home with their children. There has been a huge trend over the past several years of moms working from home as writers and customer service representatives and now in marketing as well. Moms work in several different aspects of marketing, ranging from print ads and design to online marketing and more.
Since moms have a knack for knowing what other moms like and what other moms want, many moms are starting to specialize as mom marketers. In this job niche, companies will hire moms to help them come up with marketing ideas that will go over well with other moms. This type of marketing is genius, as who else is going to know what moms like more than other moms?
Moms are considered some of the most powerful consumers since they often make several buying decisions in the household. From groceries to baby products, mom’s opinion is always there with what works best, what brands are better than others and what products they would like to see put on the market. Moms are often used in control panel studies when it comes to baby and children’s products, so getting opinions and ideas on marketing tactics from moms is a very useful way to reach out to other mothers who may be interested in the products or services being offered by the company.
Marketing is a very competitive field as we all know it. The trend of mom marketing is one that is more than likely going to blossom over the next few years as companies try and find ways to stay on top of their competition. Going to the consumer has always been important for opinions of products and services, but now it looks as though companies are using consumers to do a little targeted marketing to the same demographic.
