There really is a good story behind the Time Machine. A few years after college I started looking into Internet Marketing and noticed all the "guru courses" I looked at had ONE FATAL FLAW - A FATAL FLAW THAT WILL COST YOU 70% OF YOUR STARTING BUDGET!

Don’t get me wrong here, there are some great programs out there that will teach you about Pay Per Click, Continuity, Writing E-books and Membership Sites on the Internet. But what I noticed was that they all had the same line or sentence in the beginning.

Can you guess what it is?

"Well, you need to try a ton of products and try to find one that works."

"Well, you need to test, test, test, and find a product that sells for you."

"It is all about trial and error, try a ton of stuff and see what works."

You know what I thought? ... THIS IS CRAZY!! The Internet, and searches in particular, are a living, breathing representation of the world. Why the hell do you need to guess at what to sell or what niche will be hot? There HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY than "just go out and try a bunch of stuff".

So what would later turn out to be the Internet Time Machine started to come together. Now I admit, in the beginning I had no money and it was patch work at best. But guess what? Even with limited funds and me just starting out, THE THEORY AND PROGRAMMING WORKED!!

This was around 1999. Can you guess what product was showing search increases of 15% a month with results staying the same, with a minimum of 100,000 searches? Again, it was 1999, so as a brain teaser see if you can figure it out.

Answering that question is A LOT HARDER THAN YOU THINK! It has taken over $80,000 and 10 years of tracking and programming to be able to even answer something like that in the year 2009.

The answer that the first version of the TIME MACHINE came up with?

Here is what happened. Back in 1999 there was a revolution going on - from tube televisions to flat screen and flat panel televisions. Now, if you had been using a trends program you would have seen the trend up in "flat panel televisions" and you would have LOST TONS OF MONEY trying to compete on those keywords and in that subject. Why? Because you didn't have the other side of the equation!! Yes, searches for flat panel TV's and flat screen televisions were going nuts, but so were the results pages in organic search and the PPC costs on the paid side. THERE WAS NO MILLION DOLLAR GAP!

BUT, what the world didn't see was the huge  increase in

searches for tables and furniture to put  these TVs on and the

lack of results for these  searches.

So what did we do back then with no money or experience? Our friend's father owned a furniture store. This friend and his dad weren't real interested in Internet Marketing, but they were interested in new business. So being young and stupid we gave them the idea, set them up with a website and PPC account to capture the traffic, and the rest is history.

SO HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

The Internet Time Machine uses cloud computing centers around the world to track search phrases and keywords and records results such as organic results numbers as well as on the PPC side. We then run a set of constantly changing alogorithms to see where "gaps" are developing between supply and demand. This is the definition of a niche.
