2. Ask your customers, followers and anyone else who is in the field if there’s anything that they want to learn about or if they feel there’s an area that hasn’t been covered yet. Customers do a pretty good job at being honest and telling companies what they want to know about or see in a product.
3. Decide on the style that you want to write your Internet marketing guide or book in. Do you want it to sound smart and technical? Humorous and witty? Down to earth and easily for people to relate to? It’s good to decide on the style that you want before you start writing as it will make the process easier and the words will flow better.
4. Don’t try to cram every last thing you’ve learned into your first guide or book. You may have a lot of information to share but you don’t want your book or guide to be so scattered and all over the place that readers end up confused.
5. Coming up with a great title is a vital part of the process. It needs to be to the point, not misleading and catchy. A boring title, a misleading title or one that’s too long isn’t going to catch the interest of your potential buyers.
6. Check and check it again to make sure that it doesn’t have mistakes. Even if you’re the best writer in the world, spelling and grammatical mistakes can still happen. You should proof read it at least a couple different times and then hand it over to a couple of other people who you trust to read it again.
7. Don’t forget about pre-marketing. One mistake that a lot of people make is that they wait until their book or guide is finished before they start marketing it. The more interest you can create early on, the better.
8. Make sure the website that you’re selling your Internet marketing guide or book on looks professional and showcases the book nicely. Also utilize social media and word of mouth marketing to help create interest.
