What is the Internet Time Machine and how does it work?

The Internet Time Machine is a series of high powered cloud computer networks that linked together to study internet keyword trends. It was a project that started 8 years ago cost over $125,000 to put together, and we have used it to make a killing for more than 2 years now. Why only two years? It was taken that long to gather the data we need to spot million dollar market movers. At any one time this series of computers, what we call The Internet Time Machine, charts the search trends AND RESULTS of over 36,000,000 keywords. The Time Machine can chart what words are grabbing more search volume every month, every week, every day, and every hour. Look, there are tons of trends programs out there, we know that, and you know that. What is key to the Time Machine is that we have been charting results to those keywords for years.

Remember, a niche develops when the supply and demand curve in a particular area is not efficient. If you just have trends, or search volume, you will not make money without the other side of the equation, the results. To be honest, we ignore most of the words the Time Machine charts instead choosing to focus on the top one hundredth of one percent. These are the words showing the greatest increase in search volume with results not keeping pace with volume.

Here is a video about how it works.
What is the SEO-ST score?

SEO-ST is an Algorithminc Score, on a Scale of 1 to 10, that indicates the favorability of a keyphrase to an SEO Campaign it is related to. Marketers can use keyphrases with High Scores (close to 10) to Optimize their websites for good ranking in Search Engine Results pages.
What is the SEO-GS score?

SEO-GS is an Algorithmic Score, on a Scale of 1 to 1001, that indicates whether the concerned Keyphrase has shown good activity over a certain timeframe enough to form a Trend, i.e. a keyphrase with a score close to 1000 means it has been mentioned on countless occasions on multiple websites across the globe and is a profitable keyphrase to invest PPC Expenditure on as it is forming a trend whereby more and more users are searching for it online but are not finding relevant PPC Ads connected to products or services related to the keyphrase. In a nutshell, the Higher the score, the Lower the PPC Supply and vice versa.
The Internet Time Machine shows me millions and millions of searches in your search volume and Google and other search engines show much less for search volume. Why such huge differences?

The ITM shows searches as well as "mentions" in a cumulative figure, which means that the figures you see in the ITM come from more than just Google, but over 60,000 PR5+ blogs, other search engines, public discussion mailing lists, forums, public advisories as well as others in a total resource database of over 55,000,000 data sources online.

Hence, the statistics you see are not only based on "search volume", they are based on "public sentiment" derived from the intensity of the keyphrase niche being mentioned on public sites. ITM's "searches" are a depiction of consumer demand for the niche in question, and not simply a "search volume" statistic like Google, which shows search volume on Google alone and not elsewhere.

Bottom line, the ITM is not Google and vice versa. The ITM is not a keyword tool, it is a Text Analytics and Market Classification Platform that shows you what trends are surfacing online, with what intensity, and the search / mention figures associated with them that include but are not restricted to Google. A common misconception is that Google controls 73% of search share online, that is absolutely true, but it controls search share on "search engines" and not on any of the other millions of resources on the web where users conduct searches and participate in growing consumer content. The latter is what the ITM taps into, thus forming a much larger base of information to derive consumer trends from than any search engine, leaving Google Trends (which shows trends on Google and not elsewhere) far behind.

An example of another company that provides such data to the Fortune 500 and many top Blue-Chips, is Harris Interactive(tm), who have been in touch with us and expressed immense appreciation for our technology and are in talks with us to form a joint venture in market research at some stage.

Secondly, the ITM's output keyphrases are a reference to the "niche market" developing online and are not simply keyphrases that can be plugged into a PPC campaign. The ITM's output gives you a keyphrase niche that is trending or growing in demand, and allows you enter the niche market by simply searching for terms "related to it" on different search engines and setting up PPC campaigns to access the share of the niche market the search engines have, not the entire web.
How do you compute the SCORE for each item in the Internet Time Machine?
  1. The ITM uses multiple sources of data, amassing over 40 Million Data Sources from across the World Wide Web.
  2. These sources include Blogs, Newsgroups, Search Engines, Link Directories, Mailing Lists, Article Repositories, News Channels, to mention only a few.
  3. The ITM is a complex Search Retrieval and Analysis Engine, that scopes the World Wide Web every 24 hours for what's being talked about, what is being advertised, what sites are doing better than others, which keyphrases are being searched for, in what proportions and related to what topics.
  4. The ITM is composed of THREE major components: CRAWLERS, TRENDBOTS and STATISTICAL ANALYSIS MODS.
  5. The combined operative functionality of all three components in tandem, allows the ITM to study data from millions of sources across the web, and evaluate what keyphrases are being mentioned where on the web, what their relative importance is to the users searching for them, where (which search engines) they are being searched and in what frequency, what topics are being written about on multiple websites that are contextually relevant to these keyphrases, how much PPC Advertising there is already being conducted for these keyphrases (if any, which is the catch the ITM capitalizes on), and what keyphrases are exhibiting high volumnes of search and have little to no PPC ads being supplied for them.
  6. Having completed its daily search and analysis routines, the ITM is capable of projecting a score, individually, for each keyphrase, that depicts how valuable that keyphrase can be to Internet Marketers, SEO Experts and/or both. The scores projected are such that, the HIGHER the score, the HIGHER the DEMAND for it is (this is reflected via No. of Search Queries as only ONE of several parameters involved in computing the score), and the LOWER the SUPPLY in PPC Ads for the keyphrase in question. Typically, the HIGHEST SCORE and any scores within 5% of the HIGHEST SCORE, represent HIGHLY PROFITABLE keyphrases / keywords that if used correctly in PPC Campaigns can generate massive profits due to little to NO Advertiser Competition!
  7. By providing these scores to users of the ITM, particularly those of the 'Potential Trends' feature, the ITM provides a wealth of information to Internet Marketers to successfully market existing products in hot niches identified by high-scoring keyphrases, OR to develop new products for the same. This presents an AMAZING plethora of hundreds of thousands of UNTAPPED keyphrase combinations that are PPC-Ready, or are basically winners if used correctly in PPC Campaigns to market new or existing products.
  8. The ITM is a Revolutionary Development in the realm of Internet Marketing, giving Internet Marketers and SEO Experts the ability to foresee a highly profitable product or product niche, BEFORE it has gone public. The wealth of information provided by the ITM in the form of hundreds of thousands of extremely valuable keyphrases in this manner, is by any definition, a Market Breaker for Product Development and Profitable Release.
  9. The days of experimenting with varying combinations of Keyword Lists and Keyword Tool Suggestions are over. Users of the ITM will have the ability to Know Today What People Will By Tomorrow, or better yet, are wanting to by now!

Is the Time Machine just using "percentage change" from day to day to get it's movement numbers? For example, I see "vipassana yoga" as being HOT, what does that mean?

The ITM internals use Daily/Monthly Search Volume, Results Volume, PageRank of sites mentioning "vipassana yoga", Inbound and Outbound Links that sites hosting content relevant to "vipassana yoga" as SOME of the 17 parameters that go into calculating the 'value' of a result. It is not a simple percentage change by the remotest margin.

If you type "vipassana yoga" into Google, our goal is... Firstly, "vipassana yoga" narrows the scope of the term "yoga", has only 1 PPC Ad on Google at the moment, has roughly 450,000 alternative keyword Search Queries available on Google "Alone" over the last 6 months, and has roughly 1000 search volume a month that goes unservices because of ZERO PPC. This can be confirmed on Google's Keyword Tool.

Secondly, the ITM hosts a tonne of keywords scored in the manner mentioned above, the sites these keywords are coming from have their content subjected to severe Lexical Analysis routines in conjunction with Daily/Monthly Search Volume, Results Volume, PageRank, Inbound and Outbound Links, that allow the software to deduce the validity and relevance of a keyword or phrase in comparison to it's BROAD counterparts. What that means is, if "vipassana yoga" has shown up as HOT over the last few days, it is grounds for interpreting that there have been mentions on Blogs and other websites about "vipassana yoga" and yoga in general, but only "yoga", a very expensive broad term, has any PPC Ads up. With 1000 Global Searches a month, "vipassana yoga" coupled with its mentions amounting to about 97,856 in the last 18 days online, make it one of the valuable few terms out there to invest PPC Spending on.
